Andrea commenced the Sunshine Coast Dance studio in 1981 which in 2005 celebrated its 25th year.
Holding a Licentiate Teachers Diploma with the Australian Teachers of Dancing Ltd. (ATOD), she was invited to take a position as Examiner within the company in 1995. In this role she has examined extensively throughout Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Andrea was also the National President of ATOD, a position she held on the National Board of Directors from 1999 to December 2006.
In 1997, Andrea took a team of 22 dancers from her own studio to Japan for the Australia – Japan Dance Spectacular and again coordinated and travelled with the ATOD team of dancers to perform in Hong Kong in 2000 at the Hong Kong Dance Expo. She has been a recognized guest at the prestigious International Dance Teachers Dinner in Hong Kong where she spoke on behalf of ATOD Ltd and met many delegates from around the globe. In September, 2006 Andrea co organised a tour of Hong Kong for ATOD Ltd and took 62 dancers to perform at the prestigious Hong Kong Cultural Centre as guests of the Vivian Kwok School of Ballet.

In recent years, Andrea has taught classes in the Beijing Dance Academy and the Guangzhou Dance Academy in China and most recently in Jakarta Indonesia in 2004 and Singapore in 2006. As President of ATOD she was also a part of the establishment of successful ties with Singapore and was invited to examine there by ATOD International in June 2005.
Andrea has assisted the ATOD in many areas of syllabi development, particularly in the area of preschool programming and dance teacher training of which she was an inaugural member of the core committee with two other National ATOD examiners. A new Teacher Training Course and assessment system was introduced in 2006 and Andrea has become a facilitator of this course in her own studio.
As a qualified and registered school teacher in Queensland, Andrea brings a professional approach and much experience to her teaching and to the overall organization of Dance Dynamics. |

Heidi Dalton:
Heidi Dalton: Bachelor of Arts, Graduate Studies in Education Secondary Member Teacher ATOD Examiner of Hip Hop: Australasian Dance Association: Broken Beat Syllabus

Heidi is a full time dance teacher at Dance Dynamics and completed her university studies for a degree (BA) in February 2005. In 2006 she completed her post graduate studies in secondary education, adding a post graduate diploma in this field and is now a qualified secondary school teacher of dance, English and Studies of Society. She holds a Member Teachers Diploma with ATOD, which she undertook in the classical ballet genre and has completed examinations to Advanced grade in ballet, tap and jazz.
In 2003, Heidi won both the Senior Jazz and Senior Tap Australasian ATOD Scholarships whilst representing Qld. in Melbourne.
As a 24-year-old, she is actively dancing at Dance Dynamics and has choreographed many winning routines for our successful students in each genre.
Heidi has travelled extensively abroad and performed in Japan and at the prestigious Hong Kong Dance Expo. She has also travelled on an educational scholarship to Germany in 1999 and returned to Europe in 2002, in 2004 where she took dance classes in London and again in 2007 where she took in many shows on West End and again updated her skills with classes at Pineapple Studios, London.
Heidi also travelled to Los Angeles in 2006 to take classes at Millenium Dance Studios and visited shows in Las Vegas in order to progress her professional development.
In 2005, Heidi was invited to teach jazz and tap at the Singapore Dance Camp in December. This was a most regarding opportunity for her and developed international ties.
Heidi also studied with well known choreographers Kym Stevens and Melissa Lanham in November 2005 and performed as part of a 4 member Sunshine Coast dance team at the opening of the Caloundra Art Exhibition for the Great Walks of Queensland. |
Heidi has been an integral member of ATOD Ltd and is an invited demonstrator at master classes and on video resources available for teacher in service. She was commissioned to demonstrate the tap and jazz syllabi in DVD form for ATOD for use by teachers both domestically and overseas. She also represented ATOD at the Sydney Dance Expo in a public relations capacity.
In 2005, Heidi introduced Dance Dynamics students to a new style of dance in the form of HIP HOP and she has undertaken examinations in this genre herself along with the training and preparing of her successful students.
In 2000 Heidi was college captain at the Sunshine Coast’s Immanuel College where she received her education and leads by example to her young students. Heidi is now a teacher of Dance and English at Immanuel Lutheran College, Maroochydore. |

Natasha Bruce:

Natasha trained at her beloved school in Milton the Premier Dance Academy, and it was here she gained a love for classical ballet and a love for teaching. She was a student teacher and role model from the age of 12 and following her completion of a Diploma in Dance at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence she began teaching full time.
In 2004 Natasha was awarded her Advanced 2 R.A.D. Certificate giving her the title of Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance and in 2006 she gained her teaching qualifications with the R.A.D. Natasha is dedicated to continuing professional development and seeks to obtain high standards in an enjoyable productive environment.
Natasha is a member of the South Queensland R.A.D panel and is most recently embarking on a Pilates instructor course to incorporate into her teaching.

Elizabeth Koltermann (Miss Lizzie) :

Liz began dancing at Dance Dynamics from age 3, enrolling in Jazz, Tap and Ballet. She later gained her ATOD Junior Jazz Teacher’s Certificate. Liz was awarded first place in the Intermediate and Senior State Scholarships in 2003, 2004.
She went to Townsville to complete her Bachelor of Photography and is now on the coast starting her own business in photography and to teach at Dance Dynamics. Whilst in Townsville, Lizzie also taught dance at a prominent city dance studio.
Lizzie was the dance school photographer for “Big City Lights” in 2009.
Lizzie will be teaching in all genres of classes at Dance Dynamics |

Jill Koltermann (Miss Jilly):

Jill started dancing at the age of three with Andrea Dalton and has been an active member for over 21 years. During this time she has completed her advanced exams in all ATOD genres of Tap, Jazz and Classical Ballet.
Jill also performed in both solo and group events at Sunshine Coast, Redcliff and Bundaberg Eisteddfods. She has also represented Queensland at the Australasian ATOD scholarships in Tap and Jazz, winning the National Intermediate Tap in 2000.
Jill left Dance Dynamics briefly to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Master of Physiotherapy at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, graduating in August of 2008. She returned to the Sunshine Coast soon after where she took up a position as a physiotherapist at Nambour Hospital and has returned to Dance Dynamics to teach tap classes and general classes and to dance with the senior team once again. |

Bianca Walsh (Miss Bianca) :

Bianca has trained at Andrea Daltons Dance Dynamics since the age of 5 and has now been training for 11 years obtaining high levels within exams. Bianca is in her last year of jazz exams completing advance Jazz and is working towards finishing her ballet exams.
Bianca has participated in scholarships since 2005 and was awarded 2nd place at nationals in 2006. Registering in the ATOD teachers course in 2007 both her love for dancing and teaching has grown. Bianca has experienced teaching in classes, working with other teachers, and learning from experienced dance teachers within workshops and at her own dance school.
Bianca strives to complete her teacher’s course within this year. |

BRYDIE TAYLOR (Miss Brydie):

Brydie has had a special passion for dance. She started her dance training with Andrea Dalton Dance Dynamics at the age of 3, studying Jazz and Tap then in 2005 began her studies in Hip Hop. In September 2006 she was selected to participate in ATOD Hong Kong Dance Tour.
Brydie has exam completed her Advanced Tap and Intermediate Jazz exams as well as achieving a 92/100 in hip-hop Advance 1. She was lucky enough to get the opportunity to attend hip-hop workshops run by American choreographers Tabitha and napoleon and in 2007 as well as participate in weekly classes at her high school with So You Think You Can Dance winner Jack Chambers as her teacher.
Brydie graduated from St Columbans College in 2008 where she was captain of the school dance troupe and was voted “Seniors Senior” by her peers. Brydie looks forward to completing her Junior Teachers and Associates Teachers course and continuing her personal development through Dance Dynamics. |

Claire O’Shea (Miss Claire):

Claire has been a big part of Dance Dynamics for the past 15 years. Along with winning a place in the State ATOD Scholarships she then represented QLD, at the national level in Jazz.
Claire has studied and taken examinations in all genres of dance and has always achieved a high standard. In 2009 she completed successfully her ATOD Junior Teachers Diploma and has nearly completed the Associate level of this prestigious course.
At the time of her study and learning she also had the role of Immanuel College Captain. Claire is a great role model for our students and this year will attend university as well as teach classes at Dance Dynamics and manage the Dancewear shop. |
