Examinations

Examinations are held annually in the genre of classical ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap with the Australian Teachers of Dancing Ltd (ATOD).

In 2011 the school had a 100% pass rate with achievements in 12 Honours with Distinction and 17 Honours Plus results.

The students can undertake either a full examination or a participation level with ATOD. They receive a comprehensive report / certificate and medal.

Examinations can lead to obtaining qualifications for teacher’s diplomas.

The staff encourages examinations, which are not compulsory, as it is a wonderful way to gain feedback in a positive way from an outside source. It also serves as a worthy goal or achievement.

ATOD examiners are pleasant and encouraging to students and the reports are comprehensive. Students perform examinations in groups and not individually. In the lower levels, teacher assistance is also permissible in the examination room.
