Examinations

Dance Dynamics utilises the syllabi and examination system of the ATOD – the Australian Teachers of Dancing. Please see the ATOD web site www.atod.net.au for more information.

In 2010 the school had a 100% pass rate with achievements with Honours with Distinction and 13 Honours Plus results.

Competitions

The dance school participates in the ATOD annual competitions held on the Sunshine Coast. All students receive a participation ribbon and many Dance Dynamics students are among the winners and place getters.

Display Day

Mid- year, the students of Dance Dynamics hold a gala display day showcasing their first semester work and some choreographed performances. This applies to all age levels.

Other Events

Throughout the year, the staff organize social events for the students and parents of the school. The monies raised from these events are donated to the Qld Institute of Medical Research for research into Melanoma.

In 2009 the school raised $2500 for this cause with a family portrait day, movie night and the 30th Anniversary of the dance school surprise party.

Concert

The annual concert runs for two performances on the first weekend of December at the Events Centre Caloundra. This is a very professionally organised event for all age groups.

Workshops

Once a year, the dance school invites the students to attend a workshop with a professional dancer or outside of school teacher. This enables them to broaden their enjoyment and knowledge base.
