Dance Dynamics has a 100% pass rate in examinations and in 2009 and in the jazz, tap and ballet examinations. These examinations were taken with the Australian Teachers of Dancing Ltd (ATOD).

The school also had outstanding results in the genre of Hip Hop .

News

  • Scholarships - Kurt Nilon- student of Dance Dynamics won 1st place in the Australasian ATOD scholarships in 2008 in Senor Tap and in 2009 in Senior Jazz. Many students have been successful in this event over the past 15 years with many first places and minor places received in each genre.
  • In 2009, the students of Dance Dynamics were given a workshop in musical theatre dance with international dancer and choreographer Leigh- Anne Vizer. This was funded by the schools parent body fund raising group.

 

HONG KONG DANCE TOUR 2006

In September 2006, 13 dancers from Dance Dynamics were part of the ATOD (Australian Teachers of Dancing) team of 62 dancers that were selected by audition to perform in Hong Kong as guest artists of the Vivian Kwok School of Ballet.

The dancers and their entourage of parent supervisors had an amazing time, not only in regard to the actual performances which were a huge success, but in all their other activities. These included a Chinese Dance class with well know Hong Kong teacher, Miss Lee and sight seeing tours to Disneyland, Ocean Park, temples and the Peak. The ATOD team were sponsored by Macquarie Bank and ATOD Ltd. More overseas adventures are in the pipeline for the Dance Dynamics travellers.

DANCE DYNAMICS STUDENTS TOUR HONG KONG

13 dance students from Dance Dynamics toured HK in September 2006 as part of the Australian Teachers of Dancing Queensland team. The students auditioned in Brisbane in March 2006 and rehearsed under choreographer Tony Meier. Successful students ranged in age from 9-15 years

The ATOD dance team performed two jazz routines at the prestigious Hong Kong Cultural Centre theatre in the Vivian Kwok School of Ballet gala performance.As part of the very full itinerary, the students took a Chinese dance class, attended a ballet performance and spend a fun day at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Dance Dynamics Principal, Andrea Dalton travelled with the team as a coordinator of the event. 
62 dancers were in the ATOD Queensland dance team for the Hong Kong tour and the tour group consisted of 115 travellers which included parents, other ATOD dance teachers and chaperones.
